Karl Bohnak is the chief meteorologist at WLUC-TV6 in Marquette. His 30-year broadcasting career took him to a number of radio stations from New Hampshire to Wisconsin. He studied meteorology and worked at television stations in Madison and Milwaukee before he moved north in 1988. Bohnak’s first book, “So Cold a Sky, Upper Michigan Weather Stories” garnered the 2007 Michigan Notable Book award.
